Have you talked to your cat about the dangers of catnip?

Don't put it off! You don't want this to happen to your cat.

<==== Marvy here used to get all wacky like that...but these days he just lays around like a slug after he gets into the "nip-nips".

Oh Whatevs! show me the scientific evidence that catnip is dangerous. No cat has ever OD'ed from catnip. You're just on a Nancy Regan Just say No scare tactic. Medical catnip has been shown to have many benefits from relaxation, euphoria, increase appetite, and even has been shown to help with anxiety. I'm so tired of this it's a natural herb that when enjoyed in moderation has a time and place in the lives of a consenting adult kitty. Can it be abused? Of course but like many substances in moderation it is acceptable.

Please stop your scare mongering and learn your facts.

I gave Fluffy catnip once. It looked something like this.

She decided she was banana and crawled into my fruit basket on the table.

I know everyone thinks this is hilarious, but it isn't. My cat is out of control, and won't stop. I've had to start going to weekly Nip-Anon meetings to learn how to stop my codependent behaviour.
