most calories in a day

i had never really thought about this before but i wonder how many calories one could eat in a day...between easter candy and alcohol its really adding up without even thinking about it over the last few days
12,000 for me...i was thinking 15k at first but i doubt that high...and ive been close to 10k without even trying i the last few days

I've never thought about it either but now I'm looking at that number 12,000 and thinking 'some people eat less than that in 10 days'.
I think before MFP and calorie counting I could have easily eaten 4000+ in a day without realising. And probably more when I was a teenager and a competitive swimmer.0 -

12,000? thats alot. The most ever ever eaten is about 3,000. Do you exercise when you eat that much though? Because i dont. Plus guys need more cals. And i tend drink diet pop so my cals are solely food.0 -
I've eaten +4000 yesterday and +3000 today My worst days were probably around 5000 (that's without trying to be a fatass). If I actually tried, I bet I could get to 7,000 easily.
Unfortunately, that won't make the weight go...0 -

I almost ordered a pizza today, but I didn't because I knew I'd eat the whole thing, and I've been soooooo good lately ...But I've totallly done a whole Domino's pizza + cheesy bread + chocolate lava cake in an afternoon and still eaten dinner. Not sure what that adds up to, and not going to look because I really don't wanna know :P0

Dont get me started on Dominos !! Pizza, cheesey dough balls, Ben and Jerrys, chocolate chip cookies, mozzarella sticks....omg i soooo want one right this second I agree with you ...if dominos sent me a list of the cals and content of their food id probably cry! LOL0 -
4-5k calories per day on the reg. I only have an 8 hour eating window and still feel hungry as fuuuaaark most of the time. If I went for dense sources and had an unrestricted eating window I reckon I could put a dent in 10k0

I looked at my reports and the highest daily count in the last 90 days was 3,371 :sad:
And that doesn't even include those days when I was so stressed out that didn't have the time to log (and would be too ashamed to do so anyways)0 -

There was a once upon a time I regularly ate on "big days" between 13,000 and 17,000 calories. Now I eat anywhere between a low of 2,000 (lowest I go while cutting) 2,800 during maintenance and 4,000 (highest I usually go) when mass-building.
I think it's all relative to size though... A 120lb woman eating 13,000 calories is rather different than a 285lb defensive tackle doing the same...0 -

I don't know what my highest is. Probably back in hs or early college. I could ANYTHING back then and not gain a lbs. I regularly ate whole pizzas, togo's family size sandwichs, basically whatever I wanted. Sigh...memories :ohwell: :ohwell:0

Don't even want to think about it. I added up an average day of beverages before I was tracking and it came out to over a 1000 calories a day. On just drinks. And that was just juices and sodas-- no alcohol.0

I think the Most I have ever eaten was 3500 and that was at a kick *kitten* wedding with an amazing buffet cocktail hour and the most outrageous Viennese desert table you have ever seen in your life (open bar) memories0

Last summer I'd stop at McDonalds and order 2 Rolo McFlurries (650 calories each). I'd eat one before I got home and save the other one for later. Then dinner would be something covered in cheese and deep fried! I'm sure I was eating at least 3 or 4 thousand calories a day. I was eating a lot but what I was eating was EXTREMELY fattening!0

Had a bit of an (okay... major) emotional eating binge yesterday... 3800 calories.... Most calories I've consumed in one day since... well... months (if not years...).
Prior to losing weight, I would guess I ate 2500-5000 a day, without any (or very little) activity.

I think it would be quite easy to eat 12k if you really tried. Just eating a lot of sweet stuff would do it but you'd feel absolutely terrible0
