Anybody tried the new rules of lifting for women program? What you think of it? What results did you get? I just started reading the book today and it's very interesting. I've been lifting for a few months, but now I'm ready to step it up. Any other program or workout recommendations for strength training?

Thanks :)

There are lots and lots of women on MFP who have used NROLFW. There's even an entire MFP group full of 'em! If you search for it under groups, you should find them.

I've read the book, which I enjoyed, but have not tried the NROLFW program. I use a different program (Starting Strength). I thought the NROLFW program looked good, but the workouts got too fussy/complicated in the later stages for me, so I opted for something more straightforward.

Other recommended programs for newbies are Jamie Eason's LiveFit (you can find that on bodybuilding.com, it is free), Stronglifts 5 x 5 (free on the internet), and Starting Strength (book, DVD).

It's great that you've started lifting, and that you've selected a solid beginner's program. You'll love it. Best wishes! :flowerforyou:

Have you looked at Chalean Extreme- it's a DVD programme.
