Why can't I see any difference?

So since the beginning of the year, I've lost about half a stone, or just over.

However, I've taken before and after photos but honestly can't see any/can only see a tiny difference, which is very frustrating!

Does anyone else have this problem, or have any idea why this might be?

Thanks

I find I really only see a difference if it's a decent amount of weight.

The mirror won't show differences since you see yourself everyday. Side by side pictures should. You may not see much of a difference if the weight loss was from all over your body.

Take some measurements if you haven't already already. You can see differences in those even if you can't tell with the pictures.

    Could be you:
    (1) can't see it but everyone else can. [Which is why you should take pictures]
    (2) lost a lot of back fat (don't forget to take back pictures)
    (3) lost visceral fat
    (4) lost neck fat.
    (5) lost a thin layer of fat from all over your body.

If you haven't takend pictures and measurements - do so!

There are plenty of people on MFP who will tell you that they couldn't see their loss in the mirror, even when their pants were falling off. Size is not the only measurement of health/fitness, so even if you don't see any changes, you can be sure that you have changed.
