I'm so glad someone finally posted for taller girls!! I'm 5'11 and since I have never had a low weight I am constantly wondering what a good ideal weight might be. My doctor told me 140-150. I am quit interested in seeing what pant size I wear at a weight like that considering I wore a comfortable size 18 at 290.0

i'm 5'10 currently 155 depending on the jeans/style i wear a 9/10 or 30/32" waist.
at my lowest in my adult healthy life i was around 145, still a size 9/10 and 30" waist. I had about 17 or 18% body fat at that point.
my goal is to get back down to 142-145 with about 17% body fat. I don't think my clothe size will really change between now and then.0 -
I'm 5'10". I weigh 165 and am shooting for 150. I was happiest at 140 but that was in high school when I had a metabolism and played sports year round. I wear a 10 or 12 in jeans.0

I'm 6'. Currently weight 164, size 8 dress, 10 jeans, 10 dress pant, Medium shirt or whatever else comes in that sizing.0

Hi Ladies.. I'm new to the forums and am 5'10" and currently around 245 pounds.
I had worked really hard from a strating weight of 225 about 7-8 yrs ago and got down to 180 but the weight crept back on and then because of my IUD and a slew of side effects for 2 years I gained tons of weight (including 30 pounds in 3 months) and had a lot of joint/muscle pain that even made walking difficult! It was hell! Finally pinpoited the problem and had my IUD removed Sep 2012 and have been on the long road to recovery! I immediately felt a difference in my stride/walk and have been getting stronger and kicking butt at the gym ever since! However, I am still struggling with the weight. I am a huge sugar/carboholic but my metabolism cannot support the appetite of a longshoreman anymore (especially since I'm going to be 40 this year)! One of the reasons I love to talk to other tall women is because we tend to face much higher numbers on the scale vs. our more petite friends and another pet peeve of mine is that a larger women who is 5'5" or less can be carrying the same weight I am and probably still find something to wear at your traditional clothing store while us tall ladies end up in the plus sizes and it is tough! Plus I think there is some weird belief that every women who is "plus size" must have ginormous breasts! UGH! So I am very excitedto start this journey with all of you! My primary goal is to to LOG LOG LOG everything for the month! I usually work out everyday. WE have a gym on site so I go over lunch and do fitness classes or tackle the elliptical on my own. I would like to start running again (ok not really but it does help you lose weight fast) but my current weight makes it really hard. But I'm gettign better. My son (who is 16) and I going to start training for this 5K obstacle race this summer (www.runforyourlives.com) so that will give me something else to focus on and agood excuse to enjoy the spring weather!

I am 5' 10", started at 221 (and 51 years old), and got down to where I was maintaining really well at a range between 146-148. I liked it there. I recently had a few modifications to my hormonal system and within a month put on about 6-7 pounds. I am now sitting at between 153-154, and while even THAT weight is probably lower than I had ever been previous to this loss, it's driving me crazy because I simply can not lose even one of those pounds. Been shaking up my system--jogging, walking more, trying to eat super-clean/natural, and nothing seems to work. I was really happy and felt great at about 146. Would like to get to a solid 145 so I have a pound or two of "leeway" for those vacation or travel pounds that happen every so often.0

I'm 5'10, weigh 145, and wear a size 4 or 6 sometimes. I am shooting to weigh 138 pounds by the end of May.0

Hi Ladies, I am currently 159 and 5'11", I was 135 when I ran a lot and trained all the time then I had kids and I don't run nearly as much as before. I am want to be around 145, I look a bit fluffy right now, not lean and tight with my muscles so that is what I am working on. Right now I look fine, I just want to work on the core that I lost with my kids. Good luck. I think when you find a weight that is easy to maintain you have found what is right for you.0

I'm 5"10 and size 10 looks thin on me. I'm currently 181 and got down to 168 with weighwatchers 2 years ago- hard to maintain tho- was running almost daily and my family said I looked "gaunt" my goal is now around 173- those 5lbs helps with the face/neck/shoulders not looking too thin- I carry most of it behind me! also doing more weight lifting- feels like I need to now as I am getting older
PS so glad to have a place where tall women can post and to hear realistic ## and goal weights- thanks0 -
5'10" and my lowest was 231. I was wearing an L/XL in tops and a 16/18 in pants and jeans. Right now I'm at 236 and I'm in a 16W in pants and an XL in tops.0

Hey everyone. This is my first post to the message boards. I am 5'10 and currently a 12-14 size jeans depending on the store. I really like Torrid jeans at the moment. At my lowest, I was about 125 and a very sick drug addict. After getting well I started comfort eating and put on about 60 pounds in 2 years.
I was 210 until the end of last year and thought my goal weight would be 175, which is where I am right now. I have a baby belly still so need to tone up but am pretty happy with my weight and size right now. I was 150-160 a few years ago and to me that was still a little too tiny, just didn't look right on me. Some women can pull it off but looking back at pictures, my arms were too tiny and my collar bone was popping out in a really unattractive way.
I hate sweating and get hot and out of breath quickly so with the warm weather coming soon, I'm worried that I'll gain weight by not being so active.0 -
hii girls! im 5'10" and i wanna be at 170. I weighed 165 at my skinniest and my friends told me i looked anorexic lol. try not to be a victim of the scale or compare yourself to others because your body, bones, and muscle make up is different from everyone else.0

Hey Ladies
I am 5'11'' my current weight is 325, i am hoping to get to 180. I have used MFP on my ipad and phone for a few days now and discovered this site today. I am enjoying reading the forums and seeing all of the success people here are having. MFP is saying i need to eat 1820 calories a day to lose, that sounds so high to me.0 -
I am 6ft, current weight 256lbs, size 18ish. I am hoping to get down to about 185-195 and see what size I am there then look into body composition. I don't think I could maintain a weight lower than that.0

Welcome to the boards I hate getting hot too. Maybe you could go swimming instead or night time walking (if safe were you are). Just make sure you are extra vigilant with your food intake and you will be fine. People can lose weight just by dieting alone Good luck.0 -
Hello ladies!
I am 5'11" I feel most comfortable in a AU/UK 10... if I am toned.
Weight of 154lbs/ 70 kgs.
Weight shouldn't factor in as much if you are strength training, unfortunately at the moment I cannot but hope to return to that in the coming months and get back on track!0 -
Hi ..I am 5'10 and 1/2 and I currently weigh 304 My goal weight is around 170-180. I just found this forum. I had done mfp before but then got discouraged but I need to loose bad.0

I am 5'10, and I am currently around 138. My goal is 131-133Ibs. I was 126 and slightly under until late last year, but I looked very boney up top. I am a uUSA size 2-4. (uk 6-8)0

I'm 5' 11.5 around 191 right now. My goal for this month is to lose 5 lbs. Ultimately I feel my best around 175-180. I wear size 12 and have a large frame.0

I'm 5'11" and fluctuate between 160-70 lbs. I play volleyball and have a lot of muscle mass. My thighs are very large and makes it hard to find jeans/shorts because my waist is pretty small. I hope to get to be in the 150 range, but it's hard with the strength training for Vball. I usually wear a size10-12 or 31. Shorts shopping is really difficult for me. If it fits in the legs, it is so large in the waist that a belt won't even help.0

5'11 at 142 lbs.
Pant size is 3-4
Top size is XS0 -
5'9, 170 lbs, size 15/16 pants.
goal is to lose 20 lbs of fat, gain a few lbs muscle, no idea what I'm going to look like or what size I'll be!
But, it'll be the first time in my life I'll be thin and fit (vs thin, weak, yet kind of flabby, lol)0 -
:flowerforyou: Hi, I'm 5'9", initial starting weight 92.3, currently 89.1 wanting to get to 75kg that was 205lbs starting weight to getting to 165lbs. Currently in size 16 Aus, some shorts size 14 depending on the style/cut/shop.
My biggest problem is my bust, I'm currently a 14GG, I'm hoping that I can lose weight also in that problem area.
Ithis is my second week, first week loss was 3.2kgs/7lbs.
When I read these threads it's truely inspiring to me, so I know I can do this.0 -
Hey all! Currently 263 lb. and 5'9 3/4" so just sliding in to the 5'10" ! This is the most I've every weighed in my life! I just turned 40 last month and I hate being fat! I keep telling myself to just embrace it but I don't want to! I hate the way I look in the mirror, in pictures, in clothes, etc... I hate the way my legs and feet hurt all the time, how uncomfortable my jeans are because they roll under my belly fat. I've been successful at this in the past but then I fell off the wagon and the stress bingeing etc... consumed me and my life. right now I"m pushing a size 20 and I would really love to be down to a 10/12 again which would be about 170lb range.
I exercise regularly and always have so the challenge for me is to count the calories consistently and to handle emotions and stress in a healthier way!0
