I guess a better way to phrase it would have been I am looking for suggestions/opinions on colon cleanses...I am not dead set on finding something.
Why are you thinking about it? What are you trying to achieve?0 -
How do you know your colon needs to be cleansed? Are there signs? MY colon is self cleaning, but I'm an older 1958 model - so that may be the difference.0

My 1983 model has a self cleaning feature as well. I guess my manufacturers thought it would be important. OP, check your user guide to see if yours was installed properly.
Seriously though, why do you want to do a cleanse?0 -
Caffeine and celery should do it.
I have other suggestions but you'll have to PM me.
Last time I suggested them on a public forum I got a strike.

It doesn't hurt to do a digestive cleanse every now and then. I have spoken to both my doctor and nutritionist about this.
While your digestive tract is designed to "clean" itself, there are a lot of things most Americans eat that our bodies don't process as well. First and foremost, a healthy, balanced diet full of fruits and veggies is very important. If you are improving your diet, just adding the fiber and healthy foods will help.
However, there are certain foods that would specifically aide in the digestive process. If even after improving the diet you have times that you just feel a bit extra bloat, and would like a cleanse, go for it. There are a lot of different ones you can find online. Everything from a 7 day diet to a 2 day fast.. etc. I don't really care for those, since I want to eat.
The one I recently came accross and plan to try is from JIllian Michaels. In addition to your normal healthy eating, it is a mix of pure cranberry juice, dandelion root tea, and lemon juice. You drink 64oz of the mix for 5 days. It's pretty clear how it helps clean you out!
Good luck and let me know if you find something you really like!0 -

The JM one is just a few different diuretics in water, all it will cleanse you of is water weight. ( and the few $ buying it) and those lbs will come back as soon as you drink plain water. Eat healthy do some exercise and the body will happily cleanse itself - just as it always does. Nothing cleanses your body better than your own body.0 -
