Need help staying on track .....

Every day I go to work and it’s another food day or someone birthday… It is so hard to stay on track when you are always being rewarded with food.

Lol..you must live in the South.. Not to make light of the situation ..it's ok to 'taste' the treats.. We just have to limit our portions!!0

I know the feeling, but that's when your discipline kicks in and you just make yourself a small plate of food, or skip the food that's offered to you and bring your own lunch while you still participate in the workplace festivities. No matter what is going on around you, it's you that has set the goal for yourself to get healthier and you will feel so much better about reaching that goal each time you dodge one of these obstacles! You can do it!0

I agree it can be quite a challenge. Try going with small portions of the things you just really have to have and exercise to "earn" some extra calories.0

Southern lady here! I know there is food at every meeting, every movie viewing, every get together and so on here... learning what is healthy and what we can eat to stay within your calorie intake is the key. It may not be the best thing to eat but you can have thin crust pizza for lunch with the group and then have a nice healthy salad for supper. Its do-able = just learn to say no from time to time0

I made my coworker lock the sweets in his drawer before he left.....so that I don't have to look at them all night -- I tend to lose my mind around 3AM0

I also use this method: I ask myself if this item is something I can have anytime I want (like a Krispy Kreme doughnut) or something that is hard to get (like pie made by my mom 'cause she lives far far away from me) and that helps make things less desirable. When I know that I can get it easily it is much less desirable.0
