So Im 6'3" 240 pounds(gw 200lbs), I do 40-60 minutes of intense exercise a day, 6 days a week (insanity)
I burn about 500-600c a workout.
I currently eating 1980 calories a day.
To maintain my weight I would need to eat 3100 calories a day, so to lose 2 pounds a week i eat 1980? After i burn 600 calories do i need to eat more? I am feeling hungry pretty much all day except right after I eat.
Will I lose weight or do i need to eat more in order to lose more? I am afraid of starvation mode, but also afraid to cancel out my hard work by eating to much.
Thanks for your help.

That's a natural fear. But yes, if you are following MFP's recommendations, eat more calories on the days you are working out. And really, with only 40 pounds to lose, 2lbs a week may be a little aggressive. Start eating back your exercise calories and if you find you are still very hungry, consider changing your weight loss goal to 1 or 1 1/2lb per week.0

OK sounds good, i think i will definitely start eating back my exercise calories
I chose 2 pounds a week because I am going to be traveling more than half the month for work starting may 27th and wont be able to workout as often. I just want to get to goal weight so i can maintain it with calorie counting and some exercise.
Thanks for the advice.0 -
Find the "in place of a roadmap" post...chances are you are under eating at 1970 calories.. I eat 1900 calories on workout days with 600 calories burned usually. And I'm a female at 5'6 and 163 lb.0

wow cool topic "in place of a roadmap" OK my current BMR is 2338 calories. so based on my goal weight and actively level it says to eat 3200 calories a day.
its odd because MFP is telling me to eat 1900-2100 depending on actively level i choose.
I guess ill just try like 2400 a day for a week or two which is 76% of 3200
does that sound right?0 -
oh wait now i get it, my bmr according to MFP is 3100 so that is why the site wants me to net 2100 calories a day, to lose 2 lb a week. so yes i should be eating back my exercise calories. sorry im a little slow to this.

If youre constantly feeling hungry try to split your food into smaller, more frequent portions. I find that always helps with hunger0
