Eating More

It seems like I fall short of my calories everyday. I also do 30 minutes on the elliptical 5-6 days a week and burn 300 calories during that time. My food diary does not show the calories I burned during my workout so I know I need to eat more. Any suggestions on what to eat/when to eat it?? My diary is public. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Eat food you like, if you are having a tough time getting in cals, look for more calorically dense foods like nuts, nut butters, full fat dairy, avocados, pasta, ice cream etc0 -
I agree more nut butters0

My opinion is that you need to incorporate more whole foods into your diet. Use whole milk instead of skim milk. Use real butter instead of margarine. Eat the whole egg instead of just the egg white. Just switching these things should get your calories up. I also agree with the nut butters. Your protein and fiber look good so you could add more of those healthy fats and whole grain carbs.0

When I need to eat more I make a vanilla protein powder smoothie with almond milk and frozen strawberries. Tastes delicious, helps me get my protein in, and give me about 250 cals extra.0

I just looked at your most recent entry, but you could try 1% or 2% milk instead of skim, have hummus with your carrots, have peanut butter with your apple, eat another orange, eat more meat at your meals, eat non-fat free dressing (or make your own with oil and vinegar), eat regular cheese not fat free cheese, eat the whole egg not just the whites.
You're eating a lot of "diet" food, and I don't know that it's necessary when you're having problems eating your calories. Eat the real thing, and it should start adding up.0 -

This. Don't be afraid of fat - fat doesn't make you fat, overeating does.0 -

agreed. Unless food you enjoy leads to binging and loss of control/adherence, there's no reason to limit what you eat.0
