Disappointed

I'm really disappointed with myself. When I signed up to myfitnesspal I worked really hard at losing weight and I lost 14 lbs! I was really really proud of myself.
But then... I had a break from dieting (can't remember why) and my clothes got tighter and before I knew it.. I'd put 8 lbs back on!
I'm going on holiday in about 12 weeks time and need to lose 14 lbs!! Ideally I need to lose more, but I'd be happy with 14 lbs for now.
I really want to get back on track, but by the time I get home from work-I'm too tired to go to the gym and I feel so hungry that I head straight for snackfood.
I think I need a kick up the butt!

You should probably try exercising in the morning before you go to work. That way you get your exercise out of the way and you don't have to worry about it for the remainder of the day.0

I've been there. Especially being so tired after work. I started taking my gym bag with me and heading straight to the gym after work. I found that if I went home I automatically put my mind into relaxation mode. By heading straight to the gym I was able to train my body that it wasn't time to rest after work, just time to rest my brain.
Also, I found that after a stressful day I was able to work off a lot of frustration I would have otherwise eaten my way through at home.
Good luck to you!0 -
I have thought about that. I will have to make more of an effort to get to the gym early. I know that to lose weight you have to exercise, it's just disappointing when you go off track and put weight on so easily.
This is the heaviest I've ever weighed and I don't want it to stay like this.0 -

Thanks! I did put my gym stuff in the car last week, but queuing in ruh hour traffic made me drive straight home. I will try going straight to the gym on friday after work. It's so easy to turn the wheel and head home, lol.0 -
Girl,
I know exactly how you feel. I lost 16lbs and some how some way I gained 5 of those lbs back. I have been so disappointed in myself that I almost gave up. But I'm back on track now. Stay on the site, its good for motivation and challenges:flowerforyou:0 -

Well I'm feeling better already, just knowing that other people have been in the same boat. I have got to get myself sorted out! Hmm.. I should go to the gym tomorrow and friday, and attend the Body Combat class I joined. I have not been to Body Combt for 4 weeks, mainly due to laziness, but partly because I felt that as I'd put weight back on ... what's the point in going. Grrr.... got to get back in to a routine.
This site is really good. It's free and probably just as good (if not better) as the weightwatchers website.0 -
As a way to try to skip the snack foods I suggest investing in a slow-cooker. You can throw a bunch of ingredients in it in the morning (or the night before and just grab it out of the fridge) and let it cook while you're at work. When you come home you'll have a nice healthy meal to eat... plus your house will smell amazing. My slow-cooker was the best thing I've bought.0

Mmm..sounds like a good idea. Prepare food so I know exactly what I'm eating when I get home, rather than grabbing the first highly calorific thing I see. Not sure why I've been like this this week, but I feel like I haven't eaten even thought I've had a good low calorie lunch.0
