I don't know how to put in my sit ups. I do about 50 sit ups holding an 8 lb weight in each hand. I start with the weights by my head and sit up bringing the weights up and over my body to a sit up position with them straight out parallel to my knees

Probably this one would be the best:
Exercise --> Database --> Calisthenics (push-ups/sit-ups), Vigorous Effort0 -

Thank you Chris!!! so the weights don't get factored in at all?/0 -
Resistance training won't really add much to the calories burned during the exercise, so I wouldn't factor it in. But you should get a bit longer afterburn. And importantly, as you build lean muscle, you will be burning more calories in a state of non-activity/rest, such as sleeping.0

Thanks Chris! Yeah the more muscle you have the more calories you burn just doing nothing! Thats what I'm looking for! What do you know about Whey Protein that you can educate me with? I just bought the Body Fortress brand this past week and have been using it one scoop twice a day. I think I read somewhere that you should drink it right after exercise.....0

Within 30 minutes after strength training, 15-30g of protein at least. Whey protein is one of the best forms for muscle protein synthesis, so that's typically the protein source for immediate post-workout.
Whey protein is also good as a complement for meals or a small stand-alone snack. I would not recommend consuming whey as a meal replacement though. Not a fan of shakes as total replacements for the major meals, but if one has to do this in order to meet certain goals, then casein protein is a better option due to the fact that it's more filling.
Hope this is of some help!0 -
Most definitely, Thanks Chris! Yeah I don't use it as my sole meal replacement. I think i also read that if you eat certain things with it though it could be bad. Like sugar containing foods0
