Anyone out here following this plan? I bought the book back at Christmas. Any thoughts or opinions on this? I need to clean the sugar up out of my diet.

I read thru the book, and i'm trying to combine South Beach with the 15/6 principle (BFC). I have to say I'm having a hard time keeping my sugars down!! I love friuts and veggies and eating just half an aple can send my sugar count over the top.0

I just don't know that it's something I could sustain permanently. Right now I would like to make healthy permanent changes.0

I am with you on that! Changes that I can keep for a lifetime, rather then for a few months and then I will be right back where I started!0

I think that is the one I have been looking for. I read an article about it in one of my mom's magazines but I couldn't remember the name of it. I have The Flat Belly Diet, but I haven't done the diet plan. I'm making a complete lifestyle change and don't want to go on a diet that I can't maintain long term, but I do try to incorporate some of its principles into everyday life.0

The "Belly Fat Cure" is pretty simple (in theory) you eat no more than 15 grams of sugar a day, and 6 servings of carbs a day.
For me the carb part is no problem, but I just can't stay under the 15 grams of sugar. I am in pase 2 of South beach and tried to use the 15/6 idea with what I am doing now, but there is just NO way. I like to eat fruits and veggies and eating half an apple can put you way over your sugar count. So I agree with everyone else, I want a healthy way of life, one I can enjoy, and for me that includes lots of produce.
I will say... they did have some good recipes in the "Belly Fat Cure Book".0 -
There is a long post on here if you "search" the book title, a nice lady logged her progress on this diet and what she ate and how much she lost, it was very interesting. I forget her user name now, its about 7-8 months old but you should be able to find it with the search option.
I found it....http://www.myfitnesspal.com/jpricega0
