Anyone ever own any exotic pets?

I've owned many pets.
Dogs and cats are always common but I've had my share of exotics too that were cool to own.

ex.)
-Rainbow Tail Boa
(7.5 ft long w/ a width girth of 3 ft in diameter.)

-Black Mexican King Snake
(Which bit me on my wrist due to me being stupid carrying my snake while playing around with its food a mouse on the other arm.)

-Green Iguana

-Bearded Dragon Lizard

-Millipede
(Which is kinda like a cross between a centipede with its many legs and a pill bug where it can roll up into a ball. Really neat.)

etc.

  • I don't know that you'd consider them exotic, but I owned 2 angora rabbits, I have 7 cockatiels, and I owned a baby squirrel.

I've previously owned a Green Iguana, a Jackson's Chameleon, an African Clawed Frog and Doves (not sure they count)... currently have three Fat Tailed Geckos & two Corn Snakes, one of which happens to be albino.

While growing up, my parents owned an opossum named Travis haha.. had llamas, fantail pigeons.. and so much more.
    My childhood was fun.

Alligator, Raccoon, Barbado sheep, shrew, opossum, a few snakes, ect. I grew up in the country. If it crawled, swam, slithered, or flew, I probably found and injured one and kept it.

My kids have four ferrets. :indifferent:

When I was 19 I had a big fat hairless rat.. He was actually pretty chill, he'd hang out on the poker table while we played cards. lol
  • I'm big on snakes. Nothing too wild, though. Just a garter snake.
    Also Pacu. (Legal piranha. haha).

Aww.. I love those, but I've never seen one in a pet shop.
I have a ragdoll cat that is pretty exotic here considering there is only one breeder in the country and I had to wait 6months for her.

I've had multiple parrots and several ferrets. That's about as exotic as my pets have gotten. :)

My fiancé has an emperor scorpion. I'm considering rats or ferrets when I have time to train them.

I really hope that is a typo and you mean "found an injured one" LOL

Ferrets :) wish I still had them.
