What does Hummus taste like?

Use it instead of mayo on sandwiches. Mayo is now my substitute when there is no hummus to be found.0

Although Sabra is "good" it is nothing in texture or flavor of a Mediterranean place. Mmm some warm falafel wrapped in a fresh fired pita dipped in hummus and babaghanoush. Mmm0

It depends on what flavor of hummus you buy. Its delicious, just buy some.
This! Or better yet.... just make some.0 -
There's nothing I can think to compare it to. I'd say it's a bit like dry, savoury clouds made of roasted chestnuts and avocados, with a whisper of bitterness, and garlic and lemon all running through. Like, it's SO GOOD.0

Delicious.
I like roasted red pepper and extra garlic.

Yummy. Especially with bagel chips.0

have you ever had bean dip. start with that idea for the texture, only it has a more subtle flavor like garlicky usually, and it has a nice thick dippable texture that is at once creamy and satisfying. more hearty than avocado, more smooth than refried beans, more delicious than all of them. start with the best highest priced, highest rated original version and eat it with soft pita bread for the purest experience. whenever trying something new go with the best of it's kind. then start experimenting with flavors, different dippers, or even lower fat versions...but try the best of it's kind first, so you know the standard. it's so yummy. hummus. mom brain. Yummus!0

Sabra supremely spicy hummus mixed with tuna sounds really weird but tastes amazing0

Omg I get this falafel plate from this place here called Holy Falafel and its so friggin fantastic0 -
It's good! Almost like a real mild "refried beans" taste... but not even quite that strong. It has a neutral flavor, but definitely there are a lot of varieties. Garlic, roasted red pepper, etc. I love hummus and pita chips. GREAT snack!0

To me..tastes like work! I make gallons of it every day...from scratch
cooking the beans myself. And in spite of that...I still love it!0 -

i really like the Sabra but when I started losing weight, I switched to Safeway's Eating Right and get the Spinach and Artichoke kind. I add a teaspoon of organic chopped garlic to about a third of the container. I am kind of taking a break now because I was eating it so much I got tired of it. I'm sure I'll be back to it at some point!0

Different brands have different textures. If you have a good Meditterean place near you, they usually make a great homemade hummus. Roasted red pepper hummus is delicious. I like trader joe's hummus, they have a variety one you can buy and try three different flavors in one container. It took me a few tries and brands to end up liking it, but now i love it!0

I don't like the texture. Ew.0

There would be peace in this world if everybody just ate Hummus.0

Good, gooder goodness. It's just mashed up beans, usually garbanzo or white with garlic and such. Great on pita chips or tortilla chips...Think of it as the Mediterranean Bean Dip (as opposed to Mexican Bean Dip - Pinto).0

Check the ingredients on the Sabra products--I remember at some point noticing that some of their stuff had mayo in it, which totally skeeved me out because 1) it really shouldn't be there and 2) I hate mayo.
I've been making my own hummus after discovering recently how easy it is to cook up dried chickpeas in the pressure cooker. Super cheap, keep out the nasty things like extra sodium, add in what you do like....0
