Ok so I know its not the most nutritious thing but every once in a while i make it for my family when my husband is gone because its easy cheap and my little ones eat it.

I am confused about how to track it. So the box says 280 calories prepared so I always assumed that ment with the meat and milk in it right? but then I use ground turkey instead of beef so I was looking it up on here and it had made with ground turkey and skim milk. Awsome i thought except the calories came up as 340. That doesnt seemr ight since I save calories by using the turkey adn skim milk instead of beef and 2 percent like the box suggests. So then I started thinking maybe the box label is for the calories without adding the meat and milk?

Anyone know the answer?

The box should have two columns- one for the nox, one for it prepared. Take the box info, then add the milk (remember to only add the amount of calories in ONE serving of the milk- for example, if you put in two cups for the whole box, and it makes 4 servings, then it's only .5 cup per servings) and ground turkey.

OK so i found on sparkpeople website an entry for it made with ground turkey and the calories werent too much off. I think it said 265 instead of 280 so im gonna just do the 280 Unless doing what the above poster mentioned works better. I think Ill try that first. Dunno why i didnt think of that before
