Not sure exactly what you are going through, but I keeping myself busy until they go away---usually exercise or a hot bath. I found that my cravings went away when I quit eating sugar. The other thing that I have to do is just eat simple carbs once a day. It works great but is a little hard to maintain. Richard and Rachel Keller have books out on carbohydrate addiction if you want to check it out.

Two things -- have a satisfying snack every evening and eat at maintenance calories once in a while so you can have the things you crave. If you have something to look forward to, it's a lot easier to resist. I can be good for 6 days knowing that I can indulge on the 7th if I want to.

I drink water or eat ice but craving usually go away after about a week of clean eating if you are still having them often you may be eating something that is triggering your cravings.

I used to have a sheet that gave great (everyday) advice for this question, but this is the closest I found online.

My craving is salt, and I know the less I eat the less I crave. Hopefully I'll get there again soon...
    Good luck

brush your teeth in between meals. Sounds crazy, but nothing is more gross than a bite of cheesecake when your mouth still has that minty-fresh flavor in it.
