Each person is different. I am 6'2" and I am jsut looking to get to 195...after that, I'll re-evaluate and see if I can go lower. But, at that point, I think I am jsut going to work on toning and not necessarily losing weight.

Work towards your goal and reassess. You may find you're perfectly happy at 175. You might decide you want to go lower after all. I'm 5'10" and 143. I'm not trying to lose weight now but rather lose fat. I would be okay if I gain weight, too, as long as it's muscle! I have a very small frame, though. My wrist measurement is only 6 inches. 175 on me would be too much, but I've seen plenty of pictures of women my height at your goal weight and higher that look amazing.

It's okay. I love you! And, I realized after posting that this is only for 5'10" ladies not 5'10' and up as I thought I'd read. : )
    I'm totally crashing the party.

I am 5'9" and while 25 lbs isn't nearly as dramatic as some of these other losses, I think you can really see it in my face. The top left photo was the "omg I have to lose weight" photo.

My ticker says 14 pounds lost, which is correct from when I joined MFP in November 2012. I have gone from a size 14 to a size 10, XL tops to M.

Oh, and I'm still a work in progress.

What I have noticed is that tall women can put on a lot of weight before people notice the weight gain, whereas with short women, all it takes is a few extra pounds before the weight gain is noticeable. Conversely, when tall women lose weight, the weight loss has to be significant in order for it to be noticeable, whereas with short women, they don't have to lose as much weight in order for it to be noticeable.

I am 5'8" and I have lost around 30 lbs since Jan 10th. I have gone from 225 lbs to 197.8 lbs. My mother, who had not seen me in over a month, was over on Sunday and she didn't say anything about my weight loss. I was kind of bummed about that. Yesterday, my 11 year old dd finally noticed my weight loss. She said "You look so small". That instantly put a smile on my face.
