    Can it be word combos?

    I hate it when people say 'white ghetto' as if the word ghetto on its own automatically implies non-white race groups.

    Exactly. The word "ghetto" was actually first used as a pejorative by the Nazis to describe Jewish neighborhoods before the onslaught of the Holocaust. A little history.

    I drove my mom up the wall with this one quite deliberately, when I was a teenager. I only said it because nothing I ever said to her meant a thing, so she deserved it. :wink:

    I hate it when folks over use the word "like." for example. Like, I was talking to my boss and he "like, told me to stop coming to "like" coming to work late. Ugh. It's really horrible when someone over 30 uses it too much. Ugh!

    This made me laugh because this is something else I used to bug my mom, but I outgrew that one before high school. That and when recounting conversations, as so many pre-teen girls do, "And I went..., and then she goes..."

    It means you've lost too much muscle as you've lost weight so you reach your weight goal and still look flabby, even though in clothes you look slim.
