Okay so i am 24 years old female and i weigh 87 kgs at the moment. My highest weight was 95 in April 2012.
I know, I know i have lost some but still its not as much as was/is anticipated by MFP
.
Okay so my BMR is around 1600 now, i have always eaten around my bmr ( a lil more than that actually )
I burn around 500 calories 5 days a week through workout, i mix them up (cardio, aerobics, weights)
I should have lost around 20 kgs, why is that I have only lost 8 kgs?
I am pretty happy with my loss but these numbers totally confuse me
I have been burning 500 more than i eat, why isn't this showing up on scale
please guys help me understand this science.

Do you know yet how many inches you've lost? That's really more important than the actual weight, especially since it looks like you're getting a lot of exercise.0 -

If you've been working out strenuously and keeping close watch on your caloric intake for over a year with barely any change, it might be time to see a doctor. Sometimes things like thyroid problems, food allergies or various other health issues can prevent weight loss. It may not be any of that at all and could be something completely different, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out just in case.0 -

I had gotten myself completely checked with all the necessary tests that can be hurdle in my weight loss, but all results were okay, also when i enrolled myself with a nutritionist for weight loss for 3 months and I lost an lb every week back then.
Now I am following the same diet+exercise techniques she has taught me, but it takes a month for me to lose a pound. The thing is i keep surprising my body, some times i do less exercise and some other times i eat more, i even switch my workout routines weekly. I don't know why isn't this working

Do you eat back your exercise calories? If not, then you are actually eating below your BMR...
For instance
BMR = 1600
Minus Exercise Calories = 500
Calorie intake for the day = 1100
It's really not enough. Have a read of this http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/937712-in-place-of-a-road-map-ver-3-0
Work through the calculators and work out your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure (I think))....this is the amount that your body needs to work, rest and play (and includes exercise so you need to stop eating back your calories if you have been).
It does work - I have been stuck trying to lose weight (on and off) for a couple of years - always lowish calorie...I read that and started eating 1600 - lost nothing - upped it to 1700 - still lost nothing - upped it to 1800 - started losing. My TDEE is about 2400 so providing I eat just below that I should lose - but my BMR is 1700 which is why I couldn't lose weight eating below that.
Good luck0 -

how long it take you to lose 8kg?
According to my calculations i was supposed to have a 6 pack last summer... You can't tell your body how much to lose or by when.... just accept what you get and move on.
Hmmmm i guess thats right, i should continue what i am doing and its will come off one way or the other0
