Homemade Pita Chips

I use Sarah Lee Mr. Pita 100% Whole Wheat, but you can use whatever you want.

Cut pita pocket into 16 slices
Spread evenly on baking sheet
generously spray with butter flavored cooking spray
season with garlic salt (or whatever works for you)

Preheat oven to about 375 degrees and cook for about 8 minutes or until crisp.

These make a very delicious healthy alternative to potato chips!

    :flowerforyou: Thank you so much for sharing! I have been missing those fatty potatoe chips when eating my sandwich and this sounds like a healthy alternative.

    I do something similar but brush with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse salt, pepper and oregano.

    i do that too...whole wheat pita, olive oil cooking spray, little course salt....and mrs.dash makes all kinds of seasonings you can use:) but i think my fav is just salt, pepper and oregeno. dip in marinara sauce, hummus, salsa... YUM!!!

    You can also do the samething with tortillas and garlic salt or for a sweet treat try cinnamon sugar

    I've been wondering how I could make my own pita chips!! The only brand I know of are like $4 a bag! HELL NO!!! Thanks :)
