How long after starting weight training will I gain?

Hey guys.
I feel like I have a lot of questions, today. Lol.

I have started weight training 3x a week for about a month now, and it is causing me to gain weight.

I have heard that this is normal, however, can anyone tell me how long I should continue to gain? Or if I'm possibly doing something wrong?

    Bump! I'm a couple weeks in, up a little, and wondering the same thing.

    Expect to be up a pound or two from water retention after a heavy session but that would probably be it. Don't freak out if you hit your legs hard and the scale is up a tad the next morning. It will come back down. How much weight you gain or lose depends mostly on your diet.

    Continued increase means you need to adjust your diet. Of course if you're trying to bulk you want this and a slight increase in weight is desired. If you're trying to cut you should still be seeing a trend of the weight going down. Not every day but week over week it will average out to a loss.
