We are big on sandwiches in our house and I would like some suggestions for some healthy ones to try. What's your favorite?

One of my favorites is this:

    Wheat bread
    Spicy Mustard
    Avocado (as your mayo)
Super thin slices of apple (preferably green)
One slice of provolone or swiss
And your meat of choice, I like turkey. Get real sliced meat, not lunch meat. Much healthier.

    ETA: And sprouts!

I am a huge fan of egg salad. I don't eat many eggs so I make an egg salad sandwich maybe twice/week.

Egg, 1tbsp of miracle whip ( i hate mayo), lettuce, tomato on wheat bread. I pair this with a fresh fruit.

Real sliced turkey breast is the best!!

Our sandwiches are pretty boring though; meat, cheese and yellow mustard. Usually on wheat for me or ezekial bread for the hubby.

I'm not big on sandwiches. I know, Joey Tribbiani would be sooo disappointed.

My favorite all time, hands down is the BLT.

    Bacon.

I love using Arnold Sandwich Thins, they're only 100 calories. It's not a huge caloric difference from regular bread, but every little bit counts when you're cutting calories. I also like a variety of low fat deli meats, particularly honey ham, oven roasted turkey, and lean roast beef from Oscar Meyer-each is about 60 calories per serving. A slice of fat free cheese for 35-ish calories, and a tablespoon of low-fat mayo for around 25, and you're looking at a sandwich for less than 250 calories. Not a terrible deal. Adding veggies for bulk helps, too, without packing on the calories. Adding just lettuce is almost a negligible caloric add, and I really like carrots on my sandwich for an extra crunch. There are dozens of variations you can make :D

    B.S.T. or B.A.T. (bacon-spinach-tomato or bacon-arugula-tomato) on tangy sourdough
Black forest ham and Gruyere grilled with a fried egg on top (Croque Madame w/o bechamel)
Chicken (grilled or sauteed), chevre, and arugula tossed in vinaigrette on baguette (fancy chickencheese)
Fig, Pyrennes with green peppercorn, and aioli on baguette
Cucumber and mayo on light wheat bread
    Pimento cheese!
Grilled PBJ or PBH... so gooey and delicious

    Mmm love sammiches.
