See my profile pic for before and after- that was taken 2 weeks ago after losing 17 lbs..

Starting weight was 186 and I'm at 166 now. My focus is more on body fat % than the scale.

As obvious as the weight loss is in the photos, I haven't had a lot of people notice. I pretty much live in baggy sweats, so no one knew how paunchy I was. My dad and step mom did notice, but they hadn't seen me much.

The pic on the left was before I started strength training. I was a size 12. The pic on the right, still 155 lbs, but now a size 6, thanks to strength training.

Wow! You look great. How much time was between these two pictures? Were you still eating at a deficit, or at maintenance?

I love reading the successful loses but am also sitting here thinking holy hell!?? I am 6' and was 230, currently 217 and looking to get to 175.. Which I thought was enough except I'm reading some of you ladies are 6' and 145!! O.o
Work towards your goal and reassess. You may find you're perfectly happy at 175. You might decide you want to go lower after all. I'm 5'10" and 143. I'm not trying to lose weight now but rather lose fat. I would be okay if I gain weight, too, as long as it's muscle! I have a very small frame, though. My wrist measurement is only 6 inches. 175 on me would be too much, but I've seen plenty of pictures of women my height at your goal weight and higher that look amazing.

Oh I know, but sometimes it just seems like wow maybe I'm under estimating my goals....like maybe I'm suppose to be 150? I will reevaluate once I reach 175 :)

    I'm 6''. Before at roughly 215lbs, size 18:

After - both pics are at 155lbs. The pic on the left was before I started strength training. I was a size 12. The pic on the right, still 155 lbs, but now a size 6, thanks to strength training.

Good work! Amazing that strength training changed you 6 sizes and yet you weighed the same (love that muscles weighs more than fat!)

    Height: 5'11"
    SW: 247
    CW: 177
    GW: 165

Working on losing the last 15 or so lbs and toning up. I wouldn't mind staying at this weight if all my fat was transformed into muscle though. I'm starting 30 Day Shred, we'll see how things look after that.

Best of luck everyone! Feel free to friend if you want. :)

Edit to add progression pic. It's hard to see progress, but no matter how much you're losing it still adds up in the end.
