Do you need to reset your MFP goals when you lose weight?

I guess I just thought that the target would auto-adjust to keep you at the same deficit...no? I thought it was odd that after 9 pounds it was the same. So I went in and checked and it showed my projected loss at 0.9 pounds a week! Or is this because I did "custom" to adjust the macros???

Custom settings do not auto adjust. As you can imagine some aren't using the program for weight loss.

Yes, I am sure that's true -- just as I would keep using it when I reach my goal :)
So there's no way to change your macros, and still have it auto-adjust?

When I hit my 10 pound loss I got a message to readjust and it recalculated my calorie intake allowance. I since lowered it myself by another 200 because I thought it was too high.

I got a message after 10 lbs to readjust as well, but it puts me at 1200 cals. to lose weight. My Doctor told me no less then 1400 and I've been doing fine, so I just readjust when he tells me. (Which, by the way, he now has me at 1600 cals a day and I'm still losing.)
    Hope that helps.

yes, about every ten pounds. You will also set your goal (2lbs, 1lb, .5lb per week) as you get closer to your goal weight.

YES! Every 10 or so lbs I would recalc the BMR and TDEE to see what adjusted calories I should be eating.............

Under your profile, there will be a "Target weight change" setting which ranges from Gain 2lbs/week to lose 2lbs/week. the target calories MFP recommends is based on that (and your weight)

If you are getting close to your weight, you may want to slow the rate of change (otherwise you could pass your target weight, and still have MFP slashing away at your calorie target, because it still thinks you are trying to lose weight)
