Logging Foods By Weight.

So i have entered in a all the info for a 4oz. Chicken Breast, cals, fat, protein, etc... But lets say i eat a 6oz. chicken breast the food tracker will not let me change the 4oz breast to a 6oz breast. Why is this?? Any help would be appreciated.

Make it 1.5 serving and it will equal 6 ounces. That's how I addressed it any way.
  • i would just log 1.5 servings:smile:
  • This is what i was affraid of, i measure everything i eat as i am keeping close track of my MACROS and MICROS and i mostly use grams. So trying to convert 38 grams to ounces would be a big pain. Can you only log foods in ounces??

I have seen some entries for grams and some for ounces......do you have a scale that can give you both? I have an old fashioned cheap plastic one that has ounces on one side and grams on the other....is not fancy or pretty but gets the job done either way!
  • I do have a digital scale that gives both but than that leads to the problem of trying to figure out how many servings i would need to enter to get my exact weight. I eat random fruits and veggies daily and always diffrent weights. I guess this site just wont work for me. I have been using the Fitbit site and i if i eat 112grams of strawberries i just enter 112grams and it does all the math for me. I just really like the scan feature that this site offers.

There is an option in the food data base for a 1oz portion. I use that when I have an odd amount like 5 oz.

I do the same..or I get as close to it rounding it off..a few calories off is`nt going to make or break you.

Most of the raw foods (chicken breast, raw) have 100 g and oz choices. There are lots of converters online, as well, i.e. oz to g, lb to g, etc. look for entries without asterisks, usually the raw food, and you will find lots of options.
