Has anyone ever done the 30 Day squat challenge?

I just started it so I am trying to catch up I did days 1 and 2 (50 and 55). I have 30DS to do then I will try to do day 3. But what I wasn't to know is.... does it really work? How should I do the squats? I did the sumo squats with weights. Should I be doing this more than once a day? Will there be noticeable results in 30 days? My goal is to lose 3.5 inches in my hips by mothers day..... I need help understanding it better.

    I think I did 4 days and then my legs did not want to move. I was a beginner though. Still wouldn't want to try it now but I would suggest lowering the numbers a bit. It can seem hopeless after a few days.
