TDEE - 20% question : revamping my diet & nutrition plan.

Hi!

I am considering changing my calorie counting method to TDEE - 20%. For those of you who have or are trying this - how long does it take to lose weight this way? I am not a very patient person :-)!

According to the fitness frog calculator, TDEE - 20% for me would be 1707. I then add 250 cal for breastfeeding.

Trying to lose another 15-20 pounds. Have lost just over 9 pounds since I started counting calories (about 2 pounds per week) and 15 pounds since I started. Goal weight is 125 lb.

Thanks so much in advance for your time!

Shouldn't you add 500 for breastfeeding?

being impatient will get you nowhere.

take your time. slow down, and do it the right way.

I've been on the tdee method. It works. It works well, but it isn't fast... because this isn't a race.
  • I was originally adding 500 for breastfeeding and learned somewhere that 250 comes from our fat stores and we can "actually" add 100-300. So - yes - I am a bit confused on this topic.

Have not had any supply issues etc. with the reduction in calories and I have had a reduction in mood et al. Grumpy mom.

Thus the desire to change counting methods :-)!

    Your thoughts?
