On those days you've eaten all of your calories, but still want to munch, how do you distract yourself?

This may not be the best motivator, but when I've eaten all of my calories and I'm still hungry I drink a bunch of water to "fill" up my stomach and go work out. I figure out what I want to eat and how many calories it will cost me and exercise for how ever long I need to to earn them.0

Well I have low blood sugar, so if I need to snack I snack!
But I get what you are saying. Those days, I just grab an apple and if I end up 100 calories over. I just say oh-well and make sure I am at a 100 calorie deficit the next day.
Sometimes though I will just drink some water or tea, as a lot of times when we snack, we really are actually just thirsty.0 -
it depends if im truly hungry or just want to snack for no reason. i try to disentangle. if truly hungry, i eat a nutritious protein based snack like yogurt. even if it goes over my calorie budget. if i think that I cannot be truly hungry just some emotional stuff, I suck it up, drink some water and tea, or go to bed. mindless snacking is bad for the mind too. so dont do it. eat 3/4 good meals, some healthy snacks on schedule and good bye.0

Fizzy water, fruit teas. Diversion like a walk, press ups, dancing to some music. I have always over snacked. I rarely get hungry as I am always grazing. The past week I am going 4-5 hours between meals and I am super chuffed with myself :drinker:0

I know this won't help if you are already over today, but I always plan for an evening snack because I know I get the munchies an hour or two before bed. If all my calories are gone, I find myself obsessing about what I can't have (well, obsessing is a strong word, you know what I mean though) and sometimes giving in and eating some junk. If I save 100 calories I can have something without guilt.0

I think I suggested this on another post, but what I do is I go for a walk, and I listen to music from a time when I was at a weight that made me happy, it takes me back to that time, and back to that frame of mind. it sounds REALLY wierd but if you are someone who has 'put on' weight, and you are trying to get bck to 'how you used ot be' then it really does work
otherwise, I eat a low-cal snack ,or I have a bubble bath/do my nails. something distracting.. Lol x0
