Usually when I eat my stomach sticks out afterwards. Ive been working out, eating the right amound of calories, but when i eat my gut just sticks out so i kinda look like im pregnant. i do have some extra weight in that area, but it has been going down recently enough so people don't think im pregnant anymore. i kindof feel like everytime i eat everything just spills over.does anyone know why this happens, and how i can make it stop? when i was younger i could eat a ton, and my stomach would stay flat. i also know most people eat, and that doesn't happen. it doesn't make me feel sick or anything, it just kindof makes me feel discouraged about how i look.

Mine does the same, except, I still look preggo (even though I've never been) whether I just ate or not. I'll be curious to see some responses.0

We are all built differently. I spent all of my youth in the 60s and 70s thinking I was fat because I had big thighs. Now I look back at those pictures and realize, I wasn't fat. I just have very muscular thighs! You might never have completely flat abs. But it does give you something to work on. What matters the most is getting healthy. Eat healthily and exercise and you will achieve that!0

I wonder if what you're eating is making you bloated. Sometimes when I drink milk I feel this way.0 -
I am wondering if you are swallowing alot of air when you eat? Do you get gassy after?0

Maybe it is some foods. sometimes it doesnt happen, but it sure did today! Im also used to being small and having a very flat stomach. the extra baggage is recent, only a few years. i used to be really tiny, weighing barely 100 lbs, hoping someday Id manage to weigh 110. when i got out of highschool i became extremely inactive and started eating all the worst things, and way overshot my goal of 110. Now, 5 years later i reached my ultimate high: 143lbs. I lost about 7pounds before MFP, and 5 more with MFP. Im trying to get down to 110, maybe 115 cause I do want muscle too. Im really just interested in getting healthy more than skinny. the number looks small, but i know its a healthy number for my body. I also don't want to be TOO skinny, I remember what that was like, and i hated it. I guess it all just comes as a big shock to me...since ive been so used to being so skinny for so long...and now of got all this extra stuff in disproportionate (sp?)places... and then i think im doing so well cause its flattening out a little, and then i get frustrated because it just blows up again.0

It happens to my wife when she drinks a lot of pinapple or orange juice. Probably just a food reaction.0

When I eat badly this happens to me, but not when I eat healthy. Something is probably making you bloated. Is what you're eating high in sodium?0
