I use them when the weather sucks. I like the newer ones that in lots of kickbacks and knee lifts. I'll do the 3 or 5 mile one depending on my mood and time allotment. I'm also training for the AVON walk, so sometimes, I just turn it on to keep pace for an hour or two.0

I don't use it but one of my mfp friends does. She LOVES IT! I keep meaning to buy one and try it. The only reason I haven't is because I tend to not actually workout at home much. From my understanding, you can make it harder or easier if need be. I plan to get it soon though for when I'll miss cardio workouts0

I really love them, I would have to look when I get home as to which ones I have and like best, though.0

I love Leslie Sansone! She got me started on my fitness safari and kept me going bcuz I was just walking. I'm now into running and Insanity but on my rest days I still pull out her Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan DVD and press play.0

They are good for what they were probably devised for, a work out at home. If I do not want the hasle of having to go out and about that is who I use. I have recommended her to a couple of friends that are just starting out and who have restricted movement.0

My first month that is pretty much all I did went I weighted 285 I was so of shape I didn't want to go to the gym. After a month of doing them mostly the three mile walk I felt comfortable going to the gym and now I don't really do the videos anymore. But yes they are a wonderful starting place!0

This board sparked my interest. Can someone describe what the dvd is like? Do you just walk in place?0

Walking in place, knee lifts, side steps, kicks, and upper body workout as well...0 -
I use Leslie Sansone videos and I love them. As far as difficulty goes I think the hardest ones I do are the "Walk Away the Pounds for Abs" They have a Walk Away Belt which I have redone with heavy duty bungee cords and it makes it a heck of a walk as well as a real strength training workout. I'm older but I used these many years ago - I still have the VCR tapes. I've lost weight using them and they're not hard on the body so you don't injure your knees like I have with other videos.0

I use them 5-6 times a week. Using the 3 and 4 mile tapes.0

The longer the tape is the more challenging the moves even though they are all based on 4 kinds of steps.0

More like marching in place. You can increase the intensity by jogging in place or using heavier weights. There are also many levels of difficulty--longer miles, faster pace. Great if you do better with a structured work out or find walking outside difficult. I can't stand the summers in Texas--too hot and humid. So doing the DVD's inside with A/C is great.0 -
Yes, for several years, and I really like them! Full disclosure here, some of the early ones are a bit too "homey" for my taste, but all of them will get you safely started on a mild to heavy (you choose) aerobic workout. I could ramble on about them, which I like and which I skip, but I might not answer your questions. What would you like to know?0

I LOVE the Leslie Sansone workouts! I think that they are very "motivating" as almost anyone can do the moves. I use wrist weights and sometimes jog instead of walking to add intenstity. I love them though!0

I did one of her new one's, this one helped slim your waist line by changing up the moves, very good workout. Plus 2 ab workouts, I only did the first one and I can feel it.....0

I just wanted to let everyone know I purchased Leslie Sansone: Walk Away the Pounds Ultimate Collection and I LOVE it! It's easy to do and to modify. I even jog sometimes just to burn some extra calories!0

I just ordered the Leslie Sansone's Walk At Home - 5 Mile Walk (With Fitness Band) for a change of pace. I don't think I can listen or do any one thing everyday but I like her. I just did her 3 mile walk with belt...I up the moves to my level as she suggests but sometimes it's just right.
At my age, without dietary changes, I wont lose, but Lesley is great for someone like myself that can't do complicated moves and just wants to keep my heart rate up and tone.0
