Crunches help!

I've just started one of those monthly challenge things, this one for abs so it obviously includes a lot of various crunches. However when I'm doing my reps, although I don't feel any pain or straining of my neck, I tend to feel a pressure in my head, that afterwards can leave me with a slight headache. What am I doing wrong?

Are you holding your breath or not breathing properly during the reps?0

I don't think so, if anything I'm quite focused on exhaling at the top of the crunch etc, but I guess this is definitely something to keep an eye on.0 -
Skip crunches...try planks instead.0

I prefer reverse crunches over standard and like previously mentioned planks are really great.0
