I've heard people complain of knee pain from this work out, but I have never tried it. I am definitely thinking about it, though so I'm curious to see what others (who have actually tried it!:)) have to say.

I have done 30 day shred in 2011 no knee problems 2012 it was ok now this is my 3rd time in 2013 and my knees are hurting so bad mostly from level 2 of the shred. I stopped for 13 day but my knees are still hurting especially when I am sitting down. I have heard a lot of people complain about the 30 day shred making their knees hurt. I have stopped and now I am doing yoga but my knees hurt don't matter what low impact exercise I do . I think I might have to take it easy and just walk for 40min outside for my exercise until my knees stop hurting.

I don't know if it just me, but I have a sore leg. It is right along the bone and it is making it difficult to keep up with the lunges and butt kicks. I hoping rest and massage will fix it! The knees however, I think they seem to be a common complaint of people on 30DS. My recommendation would be to stretch more before and after than what Jillian does. My knees seem to crack with everything I do though :(

I've done several days of level 1 and my knees hurt, too! I think it's the jumping jacks? I have extra weight on me but as Jillian says, 400 lb people can do jumping jacks. I wonder how badly their knees hurt....

i've done 30 DS before, and also had knee issues. honestly, there are a lot better work outs out there.

I'm doing the shred at the moment (I've just done day 6) and no knee problems thus far. I do tend to do my own stretches before starting in addition to the warm up, and more thorough cool down stretches as I don't think the ones that are in the time frame of the DVD are really enough to stretch the muscles properly. I do like the idea of the DVD though as it's something I'm sure 99% of people can find half an hour in their day to fit in.

My arms are pretty sore, but I blame that on using 2.5kg hand weights haha!

You are definitely right Capt_apollo. I have invested in other work outs and they do not make my knees hurt like the shred.
