Hi im 34 from scotland, been battling with my weight for a long time, started going to gym 8 weeks ago, but was naive to think it would be enough to get the body i wanted but after seeing no change (not surprising) ive decided to sort my diet out, so im hoping by tracking my food ill finally get there, although my downfall will be my wine at the end of the day :-( .
i have 4 kids and i work full time, im 5ft 2 and i weigh 196lbs, really hoping to get to at least 140lbs as a first goal, never been this weight since i was a kid. my reasons for losing weight are obviously for myself, i want to feel confident instead of hiding away, or hating meeting up with people cause i know ive gained from the last time i saw them. i want to be the best rolemodel for my kids , and be proud of me and not be embarressed by me if their friends see me,i want my husband to be in lust with me as well as love me for who i am, i have stupid reason too, such as my kids having a skinny step mum, but it all adds to my motivation, i got through the embarressing gym phase and i actually love it, and nowi dont care if i look a puffed out tomato, i will be the fit gym bunny i feel like on the inside, i just need to treat my body right and let it catch up.

Welcome to MFP, you have set yourself a stiff target, but you will make it, just remember to log EVERTHING (especially the wine) into your diary and you will get the results, before you know you will know the calorific value of all you are drinking and eating, this will then allow YOU to make the choices you want to achieve your goal.
You will find plenty of encouragement and friends to help you along, the gym work you have undertaken is great and you are already feeling that benefit, you are doing all the right things, so best of luck on your journey.
If you want an MFP friend, feel free to add me.0 -
