Hello everyone :)

I am just getting this overwhelming feeling that I'm doing something wrong or not doing enough, which I thought I was doing great and everything I should .... I feel amazing and LOVE the gym, I love the gym sooo much that I want to go every single day and each time I'm doing more and more ...... ANYWAYS to my story/question I'm not losing lbs or inches near as fast or as much as I thought I would with what I'm doing .... I KNOW I shouldn't obsess with te number on the scale and the measurements can show your hard work but WHAT do I do when both don't move :( ..... Since January I have lost 25.5lbs with about 3-4 weeks down and out where I gain and didn't do anything (got my wisdom teeth out and then a month later they had to go back in and do minor surgery on my jaw), that's also how my body works I didn't eat and I gained lol , yes I know our body stores what it's lacking but I seem to be opposite to most ! I am a very emotional eater and I have had that under control, I ditched pop and energy drinks , I'm eating healthy, tracking my calories , I work out every single day , I have even ditched bread for over a week and the scale is just mocking me !!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP I love this new life change and I can't wait to get further with it but I feel like I'm doing something wrong :( ..... I also should mention I LOVE the weights and my Over all goal is to lift but I do cardio first an then go to the weight side..... Thanks soooo much in advance any advice is appreciated :)

You are right on track! healthy is <2lbs a week and if you're throwing in strength training I'm sure you've lost inches too when you havent lose lbs. Just remember that this takes time but it will be worth it in the end!

Sometimes it is an extremely slow process that requires excruciating patience.

Keep doing the good things; analyze your logs from time to time, make adjustments, and try not to get discouraged if things slow down!

    This!

It took me a year and a half to drop my weight which averaged a pound a week. I'm an emotional eater too so that slowed me a bit, but I still got there and you will, too. You are already 1/4 of the way there and in less time than it took me so be proud. You are doing great!

Hi there...First off, CONGRATS on your weight loss so far! That is AMAZING!!! :)

One thing I would recommend is doing weights first and then cardio. B/c cardio will fatigue your whole body and once you've done that, you have nothing left for weights. Make sense? You want to be fresh and make sure you're using good form when weight lifting. Are you working out seven days a week? If so, you need to take at least one day off/week. You could be doing TOO MUCH. I know it seems impossible but that could be what's going on.

Are you drinking enough water? Is your diary open to public viewing? Most weight loss comes from your diet...About 80%! Did you know that?

Okay, if you have any more questions or wanna chat, I'm here! Hope this helps a little. Good luck to you...You've got this!!! :)

I've only lost 17 since January and am pretty happy with that! It took me 3 years the last time to lose 75 lbs (occasional slip ups, breaks and whatnot) but no matter how fast or slow it happens eventually if you keep working at it.
