Do you log your medicine?

I'm a little pissed to discover there are 93 calories in ONE dose of liquid NyQuil! That just put me over my limit for the day, and I didn't even know it!

I log my multivitamin, fish oil, fiber supplement when I take them because I track nutrients. I don't log anything else but I rarely take other medicines.

I log my supplements, but I don't really take anything else.

That is pretty nuts, though. Might as well take a shot of real booze for that many calories. Crazy!

I log all my supplements. Most of them don't have any calories, but things like fish oil and my pre-workout do. If it's medicine because of an injury or something, I wouldn't personally worry about it. Otherwise, I don't generally take medications anyways.

Yes, I do. Not necessarily for caloric content but to remind myself that I took them. :)
  • I didn't even consider medications. I have been battling bronchitis for the last week --taking big doses of Niquil and the like to keep the coughing under control. Now I understand why the weight has gone up instead of down.

@ vangiebarefoot-- I know! NOw I'm wondering how much it's derailed me as well. I just got over some nasty sinus stuff and was loading up on NyQuil

I never have. I say don't worry about it for today. I have been meaning to log in my vitamins but I keep forgetting and figure oh well not much anyways.

If it has calories, yes. I did the same thing with cough medicine. I wasn't really too worried about my food intake when I was sick, but I like to keep a log of all my food.

WOW, I never thought of that. I used to live on liquid DayQuil in HS, when I was sick (which was always) I'm sure that's similar and I think that's four doses in a day times a week is 2600 calories. WOW.

That said I just got over being sick and didn't even think to log the pill I was taking every 4 hours. I was sick after all. Now if I was taking a ton of meds/vitamins/supplements daily I would log them just so that I remembered that I actually took them.

Note to self: don't take Nyquil unless they have a sugar free version.

Maybe this is why, according to my friend's scale, I gained a pound back. I took a lot of NyQuil last week...sinuses and allergies and stuff.
