Ok so after reading a lot about this and the potential health benefits I thought I would give it a go.
Today is my first fast day and so far the only calories I have consumed are in a drop of skimmed milk in my coffee first thing this morning. I'm starting to feel slightly hungry now but have a ham salad for lunch at about 150 cals.

There's a couple of groups specifically for this way of eating here on MFP - give me a minute and I'll post links.
Basically, 2 days a week you eat at a very low calorie level (500 for women, 600 for men).
The other 5 days, you eat "normally" ie roughly at your TDEE or maintenance level.

Today is my first day at it too.
I've split my day up as eating in the morning or just in the evening would kill me! lol.
