Slippery hands on wooden floor

I do Insanity and I love it. The one thing that bothers me while I am working out though, is my hands get sweaty and it is difficult to do the exercises on the floor (ski abs, moving plank, push up jacks, etc) because my hands keep sliding. I work out on a hardwood floor.

I was thinking of wearing exercise gloves, but not sure if that would help? Or maybe buy those foam mats, but I am afraid these will slide on the hardwood floor. Any suggestions?

You can definitely get non-slip mats, my local supermarket does then they are very cheap! I need a mat for my carpet burns! A nice big cushiony one lol.

If you get a cheap yoga mat, that should do the trick.

    Or put a towel down.

I have 2 yoga mats, but they seem to be quite slippery on the wooden floor :/ Maybe put some sort of a rug underneath to prevent it from slipping?

A yoga mat for sure. You can get them fairly inexpensively at Target/Walmart, I believe.

those shelf liners, they are nonslip and slightly cushioned

    http://www.target.com/p/grip-beaded-shelf-liner-black-18x5/-/A-11172308#prodSlot=medium_1_1&term=shelf+liner

this doesn't show the texture, and I dont know what kind of stores you have over there, but this is what i mean.
shelf liner, but it's not like contact paper.

Gloves would be good too, as long as you make sure that they're not going to slide around.

I always feel like a badass when I have gloves on, so that helps too...

They make fingerless 'yoga gloves' that have little rubber strips on the palms. There are socks too. Target has them with all the yoga stuff.

Yes, this usually happens while working out on hardwood floors, but you can use wool carpet on it, so that you can comfortably continue your exercises without slipping of from it, and also will help in maintaining the polish of the hardwood floors for longer run.
