    Hello and welcome !!

I have been on here for ages, and everytime i take it seriously, i always loose weight, its always a steady declione.

I started again last week, with a new found motivation, to loose half of my body weight by this time next year, i'm 287lbs, but i dont let the weight get me down, i go to work, i socialise and have a severe love of cooking and shopping for food - boardering on obsessive.

My advice to you is enjoy life... we dont get long here, eating healthily is the only way to do it... dont think of it as a diet, think of it as a new way of eating, living, the energy you have without the sweet, salty snack foods, replaced by fruit and veg is phenominal, and the more exercise you do, the more calories you get for treats!! I have also changed my goals because i wasnt getting enough protien, i manually set the goals so that the carbs and protein are the same and the fat % is lower - we should only be having between 40-60 g of fat a day.

Hope this helps - good luck and stick to your guns.... andother thing.... dont feel guilty if you have a bad day!!! it happens, just write it off and start again the next day.

I'm new too. Just started about two weeks ago. I've been steadily losing weight since I started. Its the best weight loss I've ever done.

Just be careful that you try to reach your calorie goal each day. You will actually gain weight if you don't eat enough calories. This was my problem and one of the threads on the site explains why.

    Good Luck xxx

Good Luck. Stick with us and you WILL lose weight. When you do, your energy levels will rise and you'll find that your depression will magically lift. Remember to take plenty of exercise, even if it's just a quiet stroll in the evening to begin with, as exercise releases all the "feel good" hormones and will make your life a bit brighter
  • Hi there!
I just joined a little over a week ago and have already found so much motivation and support. I've actually lost 7 lbs already and I know I've been doing so well because of the help I get from this website.
Good luck, you can definitely do it. =)
