scales help please

Okay so ive had my scales in the bathroom same place same time of day same day of week and i lose on average 1lb a week,
But today i moved my scales to kitchen as bathroom was having work done and it says im 15lbs heavier. what do i do now.

ive been slowly losing a few inches of my body as well as lbs but bam the kitchen weight has got me thinking

    was the scale on a carpet...if so that throws it off...however a pound is a pound, your still losing weight

    bathroom is carpet,
    kitchen is Laminate on laminate

    Your opening weight may have been incorrect but the losses would reflect your weight loss.

    sorry but that was the problem...you can't get a true weight with the scale on carpet....it must be on a hard surface....but hey your still losing weight

    I hate to agree, but weighing on carpet *ahem* pads your weight. If I weigh myself in my bedroom (burbur carpet), I can lose 40# than what I get weighing on the cement floor in the basement.

    Awww, this sucks - this happened to me when I first started out. The carpeted weight is going to be the incorrect one though, sorry :cry: but at least you've been losing steadily - that part will still have been true :smile:
