Hi,
I have over 100lbs to lose and an underactive thyroid which really is not helping!!!
For the last 4 weeks I have stayed the same, and I've been keeping under my calories for 95% of the time and exercising 5 times a week!
Does anyone else have an underactive thyroid with any tips they would like to share as this is driving me insane?
Many thanks
Sammy

It's hard enough to lose weight, but when the added strain of hypothryoidism, it just crazy! I'm pretty much eating Paleo-except I had sushi on Sat.! I don't eat bread, grains or dairy for the most part, and the weight is slooooowly coming off. Keep at it-it's finally getting nice out, to get outside more. I so sympathiize! Good Luck!0

Are you on medication? Are you optimized on your medication? How are your labs?
I do intermittent fasting (JUDDD for weight loss and now 5:2 for maintenance) and it's the only thing that worked for me. I've lost nearly 120 pounds, so please don't be discouraged. You CAN do it, once you find what works for your particular challenges.0 -
I had hypothyroidism and I found out my first year of college when I was driving to class and I fell asleep for a couple of seconds because I had no energy. I went and got blood tests and they showed my thyroid was producing a very small quantity of hormones. The ONLY thing that helped was changing my diet. I became vegan, within 6 months of my blood tests, the new ones showed my hypothyroidism was gone. I am now so much more energized and my body physically changes quickly with exercise. I hope this helps a little0
