Food Diary - Daily Goal of Sugar

I think MFP's Daily Goal of Sugar is messed up . . . what the heck? I had a banana and strawberries with my breakfast and grapes with my lunch ( for a total 29 grams of sugar) and I am OVER my daily goal of sugar which is 26 grams. That doesn't even include the sugar from my yogurt or one slice of whole wheat bread . . . I could see if I was diabetic (and by the way - what the heck do diabetics eat then?). Maybe I should switch out my fruit for Bacon in the morning - ya, that would be much better for me.

Has anyone else noticed this and think it is out of whack? Or, am I running the risk of turning into a diabetic??

I definitely have found this as well. I try not to focus too much on it as I know that having fruit with my breakfast is better than bacon lol. However I do think about WHERE my sugar is coming from. If I go "over" in my sugar for the day and it's because I had an extra piece of fruit (as long as it fits into my calories for the day) than I don't worry too much about it. If I go over my sugar intake because I had a lot of candy...than I will try to adjust so that I reduce the less healthy sugars. I can't say I know what is right or wrong but that's how I look at it
