exercise and calorie intake

When entering my workouts, MFP increases my calorie intake to equal my allowed calories for the day. I get it.... but should I follow that? Or should I still only eat my recommended/allowed calories and expect for the exercise-induced calorie deficit to burn extra weight? I certainly don't want to mess up my metabolism, but I also want to lose weight, like yesterday.
