which was basically my reaction when i first stepped onto the scale and saw those big scary numbers staring back at me.
I had an eating disorder in high school and one i finished my counselling to overcome that, I was at a healthy normal weight. I looked good and I felt good.
Then I went through so extremely rough personal times and decided to take out my stress on cake, cookies, chips, all that good stuff.
It's strange though, now that I'm an adult I don't see weight as this big scary number. Sure, I was a little shocked when I saw those numbers, but now that I'm older I realize that's it; that's all they are. Numbers.
I'm still me. I still laugh too loud, I still love to hard.

Man I know the feeling. I did that awhile ago and I've been struggling to get under 180. I was 130 in high school but I also was kicking my butt everyday and seriously watching what I ate. I'm 5 lbs down and once I start feeling like I'm making some progression I keep feeling better. Making it like a competition with myself. Thinking twice about things I eat.. having a water instead. Doesn't mean I don't indulge here and there. You can do it though!!0

I remember that feeling when I bought a scale recently. I got rid of it years ago when I was 135-145...I knew I went up a size or two, but wear scrubs to work and that made it easier to have it creep up. I had no idea I put on 30 pounds. It's just a number, but one that made me start here and get tougher with my food choices. (after I got off and on a few times) : )0
