HI all,
I am new to the site, a friend of mine directed me here. I am blessed with four children. I gained a considerable amount of weight with each pregnancy, but within 6 months of the birth of my children I was back to a healthy size, with my last baby being the exception. He is now 2 1/2, and I am feeling like I will never get the weight off. I did have my tubes tied immediately after having him, I don't know if that's an issue or not. I don't eat in excess; on the contrary, I consume an average of 1000 calories a day. There are days where I'll get up to around 1500, but these are exceptions like birthdays and such. The majority of the food I eat is veg & fruit. I have been tracking the amount of calories I burn with regular activity for about a month now. Based on how many calories I burn vs. how many I consume I should be losing weight, but for some reason it's just not happening. I am slightly active, but now have a goal of incorporating exercise in every day as opposed to three times a week.
Thanks for listening to me rant .

this may sound crazy but you might not be eating enough. you need to make sure to incorporate whole grains and protein as well. not just fruits and veggies. of course i'm not an expert this is just what i've learned going through this process. add me if you need a weight loss buddy0

Hi! I agree with the post above, you may actually be starving your body. Not eating enough calories sends your body into 'hoard' mode and your metabolism drops very quickly. You need to eat a certain amount of calories per day just to keep your body going so if it feels starved you will not succeed in dropping any weight. If you look on this site there is a calculator to tell you roughly how many calories you would need to eat in a day just to maintain your current weight (factoring in bodily functions such as breathing etc!) Hope this helps )0
