I want to know, how much weight is it possible for a person to lose per week. i know every one is different, and they say 1-2 pounds per week or its not healthy. but is it theoretically possible to lose more than this per week. summer is coming up. and i have to lose at least 60 pounds in the next 4 months, is this possible? I've always been a small person, and had my thyroid removed about 3 months ago, and gained a lot of weight. my meds are regulated now, so i want to start my dieting and exercise very intensely. i want to look good in a pair of shorts this summer. what do you think. is it realistic i could lose 50-60 pounds in the next four months or so. thanks.

possible? sure anything is possible. but realistically 10lbs a month is considered 'extreme' weight loss. thats more than 2lbs a week.0

i lost around 30 to 40 lbs in three months (from like 130ish to 90ish) once, but thats because i got real sick from an autoimmune disorder lol.0

I would just like to say that even though something can be done, doesn't mean it should be done. Besides loose, saggy skin will not look good peeking out of your shorts.0

So 15lbs in a week? Even the BL contestants had trouble reaching those numbers on a weekly basis. Good luck.

Unless you're over 300lbs which you don't look like you are, you won't. Sorry0 -
because you realize it was getting warm again?0

It is possible. I lost over 100 pounds in 4 1/2 months. I was on a VLCD "Very Low Calorie Diet" meal replacement program (Optifast). I actually still am on it, but now only one meal replacement shake per day. Very soon I will be onto the final phase which is no Optifast products at all, but limited to 1600 calories/day. I am monitored by a dietitian.
But doing it on your own, it's just not safe or healthy.
Best wishes for your weight loss journey.0
