So much talk on Jillian...blah!!

So with all the positive things about Jillian Michaelas I bought some of her dvds..(yes I know they are free on youtube..but I like them on a bigger screen) I have tried the shred and today the banish the fat. I have to say..I personally dislike the workouts A LOT!!!

First - I am prone to injury therefore she scares me lol...shin splints (constant!) and pulled muscles every previous attempt of working out in all sorts of areas. I even pulled a muscle in my chest last year (in a place I did not know they existed) by playing wii (seriously ?!?!smh) so her workouts being a lot of strength training using your own body is well..a dangerous situation for me since that is how I always hurt myself.
Second - they are boring :( and I do not burn as much calories due to 3 reasons:{ One: I have a hard time doing even a half hour so I do not work out as long Two: due to injury prone muscles..I try my best but think I am afraid to hurt myself as soon as I feel pain in a muscle I stop that exercise and Three: she does A LOT of strength training which is great to tone..but not so much when I want to lose weight.}
Third: I feel like complete garbage after her workouts - no energy high like I get from other stuff. I like my energy high!! After hers...I want a nap!!!

Anyone else feel this way?? I just can not stick to her stuff, going to try and do one of her circuits at least once a week..but is it really worth it?

I love my zumba..period!! :) I can really push myself with that each time a bit longer and a bit more into it!

    I am on day 3 of the shred and I am trying to tone so I am finding that I like it! However I wouldn't call it fun lol! I do like turbo fire though it's pretty fun!

    I am a big Jillian fan but she is not for everybody. If you love Zumba- do that. You gotta find what works for YOU! The only way I can stick to something is if I love it. I just started last phase of JM body revolution and love the challenge so stick to what you enjoy. (Shake it girl!)
