If I use a tablespoon of olive oil for cooking, should I count the whole tablespoon or does some of it cook off? Just wondering! :)

I always count it all - I figure it helps to make up for other little things I might "over-measure" for! Also, my dog nearly always has to have the last bite or 2 of whatever I am eating - I don't deduct for that either.

    You're Bonnie Jo too?

And that's what I figured, but I'm not an experienced cook so I wasn't sure. Who knew olive oil had so many calories!

If I am cooking for myself, I count it all. If I am cooking for both of us, like salmon patties, I divide it by how many patties there are. Hope that helps!

Olive Oil is a "healthy" fat. Count it all for calories, and whenever possible substitute EEOV for any other oil that you use. Our bodies need a small amount of fat in the diet to be healthy.

I count it all. Olive oil is a good fat, so use it for your calories to avoid using them on other things. However, if you are making something for the whole family - I divide how much I use by how many servings I am making.

I count it all if I am cooking just one portion for me. I can usually get by with a tsp of olive oil for most things. :)

If I am making a recipe or cooking for more than one person, I divide by the number of servings it makes unless the olive oil is already calculated into the nutrition information.
