And I was happy--I was not winded!!
I downloaded some C25K podcast, and I was surprised how much it helped
I am a major walker---and hoping to speed things up a little!!

I just finished up C25K today. It's awesome and it works. Two months ago I was counting the seconds left that I had left to run thinking the minute would never end. Today I did 5K in under 30 min. Stick to it, it works!0

Way to go! My hubby and I both started with C25K and now we run half marathons! It's an awesome program.0

Great job! I didn't even THINK to look for C25k podcasts! Where did you find them?
And definitely stick with it! I'm getting ready to begin my second week. It looks tough, but I'm excited0 -
Hi Amy (that's my name too!) and congrats on starting this plan and not feeling winded!!! I found that this plan has helped me a ton!! I remember looking at the weeks ahead and was nervous, but I start week6day1 on Tuesday. Podcasts (or any c25k app) really makes a difference. I remember for the first week staring at the stopwatch, and with the app, I get so into the song, I don't even look at it anymore! I have since gotten 3 fb friends to start it, plus a few friends on here, and even my Mother In Law!! Who says we are RUNNING the Race for the Cure in ST Louis next year. Keep up the great work because it is so worth it!!0

Thanks people--I needed the boost!!
Bb--Couch to 5 K is a get started running program. The podcast are music with people telling you when to run and when to walk--no looking at the watch to follow the guidelines....totally worked for me!
The fun part is I did it 10 hours ago and I can still feel the good part!!
Happy Fourth!!

Congrats to all who have started the Couch to 5k! It is an amazing way to get started running! I did the couch to 5k program a little over a year ago. I was NEVER a runner, and though that the couch to 5k would kill me. It worked, and I completed 2 1/2 marathons this year! So keep up the good work and you will be runners in no time!
I just started using this app yesterday, and am excited to continue with it! This is my first post on the message boards and was excited to see people using the plan that I did!

I am actually doing this as well....I start week 5 day 1 tonite and I am a nervous wreck! My husband started doing it and got me into it, now I have my 2 sisters-in-law and my mother-in-law running with me and my husband has his 2 brothers-in-law and his dad running with him....it is addicting even though I am yelling at the guy on the podcast that I hate him through the whole thing!0
