Squats were on Sunday. I thought I was going to die on Monday. Today is even worse. I have to mentally prepare myself to sit down before I do it because it hurts like bloody hell.
And somehow, I still managed to do my workout today! I didn't die like I had planned.0 -
From an earlier reply of mine:
"So soreness is helpful because it means you have worked (I like it because it helps me understand WHAT I've worked). However over time it will go away or lessen, and you DO NOT need to feel sore to have worked the right parts and hard enough. Just keep that in mind.
Soreness is usually experienced when you start something new or work a muscle in a different way. I would be careful not to over do it since you're basically brand new to exercise and hurting too bad will hinder you from giving it your all. I still have this problem with calf raises actually, crazy lactic buildup keeping me from walking right for days."0 -
I am not new to exercise, but I am new to squats. I am really good about cardio, but strength training is something i'm trying to add to my workouts.
What happened was, my brother-in-law was like "I dare you to do this squat challenge" (he's very supportive of me trying to get healthy and i've known him all my life, he's like a blood brother to me). Anyway, by the end of the damn thing I had done like 2389238928329382 squats.
The day of this squat challenge I was like I got this  and the next morning I was :noway: :grumble:    :sad:0
