How many calories?

Hey everyone,
I'm pretty new here, and I just had a quick question about something that I eat nearly every day now. For both lunch and dinner, I have a salad (not ONLY a salad, though. I generally pair it with something). My salad is pretty simple: maybe 2 cups of spinach, a half a cup of chopped tomato, a half a cup of cucumber slices, and I'm guessing half a cup of chopped eggs, no dressing. My question is, how many calories do you think this clocks out to? I count it as around 140 (I'd think about 100 or so, but I round up a bit just in case). I'd like a good, solid estimate if that's possible. Thanks!

Why not use the MFP diary/app? That would give you a good estimate and if you have a smart phone you can scan the barcode of the foods you are using and it will automatically pull up the nutritional information and you only have to adjust the amounts you are using.
From what I see it's around 120 and I might have overestimated as well.0 -
I probably should, hehe. I don't use it too often; I usually just plug in my own calories because I don't feel too confident in the app sometimes. Thanks!0

If you want to be very accurate, get an inexpensive scales and weigh everything. You can create a "recipe" and then add it every day that you eat the same thing. One click instead of a different one for each item.0

don't forget to use the quick tools in the diary to "remember my meal" that way you dont have enter all the items every time, even if the the amounts are slightly different, it's still easier to pull up a remembered meal and edit rather than have to enter from scratch0
